Project
Overview:
The original
roof design for
II City Plaza in
Baton Rouge
called for
NEOGARD’s
Elasta-Gard C
Roof System to
be installed
directly to the
structural
concrete deck.
As the need for
additional
insulation
arose, a
decision was
made to switch
to the
Permathane II
FR
Spray
Polyurethane
Foam Roof
System.
The Brazos
Urethane Team
led by Tom
Keller and Steve
Payne delivered
a superior job
on this 13 story
downtown
building.
Fighting rain,
wind and even
snow, the Brazos
crew did a
fantastic job
installing the ENERGY
STAR®
rated system.
They also
incorporated the
NEOFLEX
Elastomeric Wall
System to the
penthouse walls
with the same
attention to
detail they
utilized on the
roof.
Congratulations
on a job well
done.

Project Overview:
The
Project was completed during the fall of 2008.
There were a number of difficulties encountered
during the project. The
installation fell late into the season in the
Midwest, and high winds in the wide open area caused
constant setbacks. The specified foam thickness was
7 inches of 3# density foam, and made it more of a
challenge to spray smooth and consistent coverage.
The installing contractor (FoamCoat) did a fantastic
job of getting the quality and aesthetically
pleasing installation in place, and even more
amazingly ahead of the deadline date. The high
performance coating system, NEOGARD’s
Permathane II FR,
will insure the 100% sustainable roof will be in
place for many years to come.
